A Fair Share campaign July 2026
In July 2026, StillMindingtheGap.nz is asking all New Zealanders to put a biscuit in the tin, to make things fair.
New Zealanders expect fairness but that’s still not happening in our workplaces. Women continue to earn less than men on average, with even wider gaps for wāhine Māori, Pacific, and Asian women.
To change that STILL Minding the Gap is running a month‑long campaign throughout July, using the image of a plate of biscuits to reveal the unequal shares women receive and why transparency is needed to fix it.
Supporters are encouraged to take part directly: “Drop a biscuit in the tin to back fairness.”
What the campaign is calling for
The Pay Transparency Bill would require employers with more than 150 staff to publicly report their gender pay gaps. The Bill is currently in Parliament’s members’ ballot and can be drawn by chance, or advanced deliberately if the Government chooses to back it.
STILL Minding the Gap’s campaign aims to build the public pressure needed to move the Bill onto the political agenda.
